STEM

The STEM Teams of JROTC are made up of Rocketry, Robotics, Drones, and Flight Simulator. Cadets have the opportunity to explore interests in these fields, and even have the chance to compete if projects are advanced enough. Each team will meet on designated days in each week, so about all teams or activities will have one day a week.

The Rocketry Team Designs, Builds, and Tests their own rockets, varying from a D.I.Y. home kits to competition grade rockets. Rocketry Team attends competitions to win awards and trophies. 

Robotics Team builds and programs their own robot specific to the First Robotics yearly competition. The design can vary from lifting, to transporting, and many other goals. Cadets will work as a Team, with a driver, programmer, and builder for each challenge.

The Drones Team trains in different forms of flight to compete in performance competitions. Cadets also have the opportunity to earn their Drones License

Flight sim is an individual activity to train a cadets to be successful in flight training. The AFJROTC offers a ground school course to qualifying cadets, where they may earn their private pilots license and flight suit.
