Our Resource Teachers are fantastic, dedicated educators that work with students that have Individualized Education Plans. Sometimes working with students in small groups, and other times working 1-on-1, our Resource Teachers ensure that all of our students get the support that they need in order to reach their highest potential.
Resource Teacher
I grew up on a small family dairy farm in Portland, Michigan and graduated with my bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education from Grand Valley in December 2020. I came to GRM as a teacher's assistant in 2018 and fell in love with the school so much, I had to apply when our former resource teacher retired! Since then I have loved getting to know the students, staff, and families in our wonderful school and the amazing community we have here. In my free time, I love to read, kayak, and hang out with my three cats Rusty, Bean, and Baby Penny. I also enjoy doing yoga and exploring all the awesome hiking trails and beaches we have in our areas, and am looking forward to the day we can safely attend concerts again!

Speech Pathologist
Hello! I am thrilled to be at Grand Rapids Montessori! I have been a pediatric speech therapist in the city for 8 years and really enjoy it! 2022-2023 is my first year in the district. My wife Julie and I live in the Alger Heights neighborhood of Grand Rapids and have 2 dogs. Outside of school, we like to watch reality TV and true crime shows, play board games, and craft.
School Psychologist
I am excited to work with GR Montessori PK-12 for the fifth year as the school psychologist! I have worked as a school psychologist for 19 years and have been with GRPS for 8 years. I primarily work through the Student Success Team and special education processes. I am on the GR Montessori campus 2 to 3 days a week. I love serving students and families! I have four children at home (15, 12, 10, 7).
