My name is Lucy Gellert. I am the Director of Library Services for Greenfield-Central Schools. I graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in English Education and General Mathematics. I received my Master's in Library Science from Indiana University. I taught seventh grade language arts at Shelbyville Middle School and high school English at Mt. Vernon High School in Fortville, Indiana.
I joined the library world at Greenfield-Central in 2013. I am very passionate about reading and still hopeful that Hogwarts really exists. I direct all eight building libraries and work with library assistants to develop reading programs and purchase books. I work with teachers across the district to hone research skills and help find a good book. I am also the corporation copyright specialist. I see the library as a place to escape, whether through research, reading, or games.
