Vectors and Scalars

Aaron D, Yuuki Y, Zach Z (2017-18)

Mosquitoes are vectors since they spread disease. Someone who scales / climbs a mountain could be called a scaler. Vectors in physics are data that have direction as well as magnitude (such as a force or velocity). Scalars are data that have only magnitude, no direction (like mass, speed, or time). You cannot take the cross product of a vector and a scalar; you must have two vectors. Free body diagrams of the mosquito and climber are also included, showing the forces acting on each of them.
