Salt (NaCl) is a neutral salt because NaOH is a strong base and HCl is a strong acid, so both completely dissociate and neutralize each other to create a basic solution.

This mural is a reference to the children's show Blue's Clues. Ms. Salt, Mr. Pepper, and Baby Paprika (female) are pictured in the top panel. The family tree in the background starts with Grandma Cayenne (maternal), and also includes Cinnamon, Paprika's younger brother. It is interesting that neither child is a type of salt, even though they should receive salt genes from their mother.
