The 3 Sides of Curtis

Mr. Curtis the physics teacher enjoys telling jokes (Dopey) and teaching physics (Doc). He can also sometimes be annoyed when people aren't paying attention or do things he explicitly told them not to on labs (Grumpy). These are three of the 7 dwarves from Snow White. In the mural, Grumpy may be especially grumpy because he has to pull a boat holding Dopey and Doc (which creates a tension and is opposed by friction). Since they are not moving, acceleration is 0 and T=F. Friction (F)= mu*Normal force, and the normal force in this case is just the weight, mg, since they are not on an incline, so T=mu*m*g.

Note: There was a cabinet in the way of the first bit of this mural that I couldn't move.
