Short, Easy Equations

The unedited A. A. Milne (author of Winnie the Pooh children's stories) quote is "It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words, like 'What about lunch? '"

Torque is loopy, since it is force applied that causes a body to spin (such as friction causing a ball to roll rather than slide down a hill). F=ma (force= mass times acceleration) is Newton's 2nd law, which becomes very well known and comfortable for physics students to use.

The yellow bear is Winnie the Pooh, the main character of the stories, who loves 'Hunny.' The blue donkey is Eeyore, who is rather depressed and is always losing his pin-on tail. Pooh's sign demonstrates F=ma being applied to a falling apple (a is the acceleration by gravity, g = 9.81 m/s^2). Eeyore's sign has a complicated equation and diagram about torque.
