According to the World Wildlife Fund, whales are in danger from many sources: "whaling, entanglement in fishing gear (by-catch), climate change, ship strikes, toxic contamination, oil and gas development, and habitat degradation." Therefore, many whale species are endangered and need humans to discontinue their harmful practices.
