This mural refers to a silly video that physics classes watch when learning about log(arithmic function)s. The song advertises the log as a kind of children's toy-- It's better than bad, it's good! It rolls over your neighbor's dog! etc.

A log rolling down a hill is moved linearly down by gravity (the x component, because the y component is balanced by the normal force from the hill), and it has torque (which equals Ia, where I is rotational inertia and a is alpha is angular acceleration) because there is friction causing it to roll instead of slide.
