Ironization Energy

Ironization energy is a play off ionization energy, the energy to remove an electron from an atom. Mr. Curtis the physics teacher likes soccer, so physics is portrayed as a soccer team, and the velocity of soccer balls and voltage of the goal is labelled. The wavelength 250 nm is ultraviolet. The frequency of a wave can be found by dividing the speed of light (c= 3*10^8 m/s) by its wavelength. The kinetic energy of an electron removed from an atom by a photon of light is hf-phi (h is Planck's constant, f is frequency, and phi is the work function, which is the energy needed to free the electron from the atom/metal, in joules).
