How to Write "Physics"

Anna Cable, Carlyn (2012-13)

This mural spells out "physics", and each letter represents a unit in physics. The first letter, "p" is a pulley with two weights connected to it, which represents the forces unit. A pulley has many forces acting on it, including friction and gravitational forces. The second letter, "h", is a magnetic field, and the "y" is a magnet, which represent the magnetism unit. The "s" is a pipe with water flowing through it, which represents flow rate. The "i" is a rocket, which represents the kinetics unit. The "c" is a circuit, and the last letter, "s" is two Gaussian spheres which represent the electricity unit.
