This mural is really funny because it is rather accurate. :) When solving a physics problem, it is a good idea to start with given equations and draw a free body diagram (if it's that kind of question-- not if it's about a circuit :) ). You often do get the wrong answer the first time, make careless mistakes, and benefit from consulting with other students. My class did have a sort of 'class genius' that many students would ask for help, and the solution manual was very helpful! Many physics problems do have a lot of parts, which can be discouraging.
