If Mr. Curtis the physics teacher taught elementary school, he might use his students as a Newton's Cradle to show them that energy and momentum are conserved, making the ball (or student) on each end return to the same height the first ball (or student) was released from (in a perfect scenario without air resistance, internal energy, friction, etc).
