Cirrhosis of the River

Cirrhosis of the liver occurs when the liver tries to repair itself when damaged and becomes so covered in scar tissue that it cannot function properly. Cirrhosis can be caused by drinking too much alcohol. The yellow and brown building in the background that is dumping gray waste into the river is labelled 'Nick's Brewery.' The river is unhealthy (and needs a UNC doctor's appointment) because of the waste being dumped into it, and it has cirrhosis because the waste is alcohol-related.
