Welcome to my classroom web page! A little bit about me...I am originally from the Valders area and am so excited to be teaching at my alma mater! This is my 18th year in education, but my second year teaching in Valders. I taught 6th grade at Monroe Elementary in the Manitowoc Public School District for 15 years and 6th grade at MPSD's Washington Middle School for one year prior to coming to Valders Elementary School.

After graduating from Valders High School, I attended UW-Green Bay and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 1998. I worked in the business world for 5 years before going back to Silver Lake College to get my teaching certification. In 2008 I earned my master's degree in Reading from Cardinal Stritch University. In 2016 I had the opportunity to spend a week learning even more about teaching Reading at The Teacher's College Reading & Writing Project at Columbia University in NYC.

My husband Ben is a high school Science/Tech Ed teacher in Valders. We have 2 children: Peter is an 8th grader and Phoebe is in 6th Grade at Valders Middle School. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with my family. I also LOVE reading and collecting books!
