The 4 types of Table Tops and why I liked it

I like this cause of the different types of the patterns of each squares and color.

This it is like how the the wooden tops are leaking out water every where on the table .

This a sea theme in the middle of the table with different types of coral and animals that blend near the wood.

This is for looking at many types of patterns so that i could combine my design with the others.

Targets🎯

My 8 targets are using the materials I have never used in the DT and i want to make my work as clean as possible on both sites and construction. Make the foam construction look better. Getting a better experience with more electricity workings.

1. This design is for my sister or myself.

2. Its for people to feel its design and for the night stand.

3. The goals for my self is I want this to look like really smooth and make it seem like a nice and straight pattern.

4. This will be used at home for working on the couch or the bed.

5. This will effect on what type of wood we are using.

6. I think that we can get on to the design faster

7. For the laws it is safe for us to use we might use the teak tree to build the table if we had the chance cause of the thai regulations for cutting it under 15 wide controlled by the government, since we had the best teak.

Procreate

Procreate is for you to design and create chart, information art and many more. doing more such as cropping a photo and and making symmetry more easier

Step 1 : Googling for pictures

Go to google to find pictures of table tops that your liked. should be sure to gather 10 to 15 picture before going to procreate or things might get messy

Step 2 : Procreate and uploading

Going to procreate and upload all the photos by going to the tool button and pressing insert photo

Step 3: move your photo

Start to adjest all your photo by using the mouse button and put it any where, changing the size and rotationg it.

Step 4 : Adding Text

Adding text by going into the tool menu and pressing add text you can also change color, text and moving the text meaning by making how far the text can be.

All for adding the text photo. watching replays for mistakes and for easy symetry lines

Making the Geometric Patterns Poster

Step 1 : googling for pictures

Google the types of pattern's that you want to use for the design like mosaic checkerboard and select the picture's the you like and save it up to 10-15 pictures

Step 2 get into Procreate and add lines

Add line by using the brush tool no matter how thick or thin spread it across the template with a black color.

Step 3 : Adding Pictures

Press the tool button and press the insert, they will give options on what pictures you want to add. go the layers and press the N button and lower the Opacity to lighten the picture you have selected.

Step 4 : Selecting frame

By using the ribbon/Masking tool you can crop out the picture by going to the layers and the layer that you have drawn in the lines and sclect the ribbon tool that look like a S once sclected click any box that you want to put in your picture in.

Step 5 changing layers

Press layers button and change to the picture that you want to use.

Step 6 cropping the outside

Make sure the picture is in the right box and there are lines moving in the box, use the erasing tool to erase the outside of it. Look if the outside of the frame its gone means done

Step 7 : Repeat

When finished there could only be the picture in the box, repeat this until you feel it ok.

Final Step : Adding text and comments

Go to the tool button and press add text write the title and the comments.

These are photo's of mosaic patterns from google and putting a adjusting on procreate by makmaking lines, cropping and adding texts.

This I went for a octogon shape growing to the outside. you also need 0.5 and 0.8 black ink to finline it. color in the octogons with any color, i went with a wood color cause it really its normal and fits the table as in the trees have circles in the inside to replrecate how old is it.

This fine line is not good cause there are parts that were leaking out of the right drawned lines.

Each box can be up to 10, 11 or 12 cm square on maximum and only geometric shapes by adding lines to make different shapes like the one above, after fineline it and cross hatching by adding layers and darkening from the outside to the inside and also lowering the

as you can see there are letters spelling out and one didn't quite work with the S.

This is just straight up symmetry but didn't draw the last few layer

This are lines that are going diagonally with the triangle also going up and if you see the in side of the triangle you won't see the same but in different lines

straight up lines copied off from the bottom with some places being the same way

what i did think was gonna be possible is having blue painted wood but it wouldn 't work so i would change to light brown and the back ground to dark brown

i didn't really liked this cause the colors didn't match for what i was looking for

I'd just didn't know what to add colors to the middle so i didin't choose to use it

Final design for the Idea genaration

Focuses on procreate and why

I focused on this because this is my artist's favorite name and it inspired me through his songs

This one i felt like i could cut it much more easier i wouldn't always be randomized

both sides of the 2D grids are on 146px which makes up to a 12 by 12 square. After that you make the lines of the outside and draw the lines based on you design

Why i liked this design is because this name spells my my favorite song artist and was inspired to me to learn Japanese in the first place

Lines Design

i quite liked this design because by moving on to onshape it is easier to make with making the lines and are so to cut out

Onshape

Warning this is on window, it won't be the same on the apple product and others

Go to onshape and press create and make a document after that you will this on the left. to make a new document you will need to put your name form and you project

select the sketch button and click on the Top layer

3. press the arrow beside the DXF and you will find the there is the insert image button

Go to the files and find you digital design that you made

4. this will pop up and press import

draw it against the plane and scale the picture to 35 cm or 350 mm with the dimensions button

start another sketch and use the top plane again

press g on the key board and scale it as if you think its 35 cm

click the dimensions tool and click your square box when it turns yellow and scale it to 35cm on both sides

To make it in the middle click the dimensions tool and press the top of the square that you made a line will appear in the middle and select the dot in the middle when its yellow change it to 17.5cm after that do the same thing on the sides

start by making a line by clicking on the icon below or press l find the length angle or radius of the circle by pressing the dimensions or press d

go to the + at the bottom left and click it

and press create drawing

Chamfer

Right click the parts below your sketch and press edit appearances and change to the colors you want. Start making your table corners by using the chamfer and clicking the corners to make it look like this

Make a copy of the legs of the table

Press the insert and press other documents drag you piece down to the table

drag it to fit onto the table like on the left

The start of manufacmanufacture

Start by setting up your template by cutting and sticking your printed A3 together. cut the white spaces and out on the sides and attach it with the other side with masking tape

start using the MDF and cut in to the shape that is going to fit on your table template

Next we will start cutting with different types of saws and machines ex. the mitre saw

This saw allows us to cut with presision if done correctly, it can adjest the saw by any angle by using the slide

band saw

The tool is known for its efficiency in flattening and smoothing large areas and preparing surfaces for finishing.

Start cutting it in to the right shape that fits the table

Gluing with pieces on to the table

Begin by carefully pouring a generous amount of glue onto the surface of the table, ensuring even distribution. Next, meticulously place each piece onto the corresponding section of the template.

The wood planerplanner

A wood planer is a precision tool essential for creating smooth, level surfaces on wooden boards. It features a flat base and a rotating cutter head that shaves off thin layers of wood as the board is fed through.

Available in both manual and electric versions, the planer ensures uniform thickness and evenness across the entire surface, making it invaluable for tasks requiring perfectly flat and consistent wood, such as joining edges and preparing surfaces for finishing. This tool is crucial for achieving professional-quality results in woodworking projects of all sizes.

Wood filling, Cutting and Chamfering

this glue gives you an advantage by making it stick stonger but dries slowly

Now we filll in the gaps with wood filler and by taking the wood filler paste and push in between the gaps and make it look like this

Then we use this plastic plate and try to shape it in to the middle and drawing a line on the outside of the template and take it to the teacher to let them cut it.

We now use this machine to make a smoother edge to the table then going around the table with 4 edges between top and bottom

Screwing and Pollishing

we have now come to the end of manufacture and we start by picking our legs.

Then by alineing the legs at the end of the corners we put marks in the leg holes.

last we use a drilling machine to the holes we marked and use a screw it in.

Last we use the poishing kit to polish the wood and make it dark and clean

My end of Manufacture

I have now come to the end of the table top project and have designed a table by the name of my favorite artist, and have used many distinctive of shapes and used medium and dark wood to make my table. I mostly enjoyed was doing Onshape and cutting for manufacture but it was also really challenging and it had me stuck on some parts and lots of off cuts. on my way on manufacture i mostly for got to take photo and I can't include them any more, and i still need to improve in texting more because i don't have enough for everything. the main that i developed on the way is more manufacture and lots of on shape techniques i never learnt before. i am setting myself the target of website improvement so that i can show what i've done with all type of techniques that i have used along the way and i have and can get a better score in website.
