First get in to onshape then make a document by pressing the create button on the near top left name it by your name, year, form, and what the name of the design is. Then it will send you to a new page and takes a few while to fully load depending on the computer and network
Then you press the sketch button and press on the front plane then press the down arrow beside DXF button it will show the choice to insert DXF, DWG and insert image, press the images and add the image of your already sketch picture from the Final Design and add it on. Add a line on the base and stretch it aling the area to be the actual length that you want
Start using the line tool to make a sketch on the outside and the inside of you picture wher you have outlined the area you want to shape. After you make sure every thing is good then start using the extrude button and extrude every in seperate blocks to make the lamp, everything first will all look blocky but we will get to there
We now move on to chamfering the shape of our lamp by pressing on the sharp edges like this. you can change the chamfer type choosing between the equal distances, 2 distances and distance and angle. but as we usually us the 2 distance since you can differenciate by showing the difference in chamfering like this
What does this mean? Well if our chamfering doesn't work then you can kind of do it the hard way there are quite a few steps in the following below for example :
Start a sketch and draw a line along the shape that you want to cut from a chamfered one can also do
Make the surface follow the direction you want to cut and then save
Then make a split and cut make sure to keep the both sides settings on and if you seed the transparent part cut out means you've done it correctly
Use the shell button and hollow out the direction that it is following. hollow everything in the head and then boolean it all together. The reason of not booleaning every thing and the shell and pressing the hollow button was that it doesn't allow the it didnt let make combine everything into one
First you want to draw a line on any surface any way to make the neck split in two halfs. Then make a surface spilting the whole neck and use the spilt tool in the two
Now your going to have to uses the section view on the right hand side clicking the cube icon and click section view. What this will do is it will make you see the spilted section of what every surface you have clicked on and for example this one i have clicked on the front view. Then follow these lines to make the circuit board and the wires to run through the neck and head and to the lamp. you should at least make the circuit board exactly to the size listed on the picture but the wire doesn't need to be exact but just need to run though it. Make a removal extrude at the circuit area by 20 mm and make it symmetrical. Last make use the sweep button make the face you are starting from and what want to remove area and the sweep path is the path of the wire that it is following
