Welcome to the team's Engineering Design and Development project for the 20-21 school year. The team made up of Daniel Antov, Daniel Brown, and Drew Hendrix set out to solve a major problem in the world: drug facilitated sexual assault. This site is a portfolio of our progress.
Problem Statement:
Ideally, going out should be a fun and safe time with your friends
In reality, sexual assault is a prominent issue in today’s society that often follows the victim’s food/drinks being drugged. 62.4% of people surveyed in the Westwood community knew someone who had been a victim. 4.2% of adults aged 18 to 56 sampled in the US were victims of DFSA¹.
The consequences of this problem are increased depression, anxiety, and general fear of going out in public. 31% of all rape victims developed PTSD sometime in their lifetime².

Overall, our product performed very well and was able to meet over 90% of the specs we included. The next steps for our product would be testing with people unfamiliar with our product and creating more prototypes to fully meet our criteria for specifications. We have attached our full product analysis below for reference.
