Javen Sevilla (Co-EIC)

"I am on of the editor-in-chiefs which means along with editing pages and keeping track of the overall book, I serve to help guide the staff and fellow editors through the process and their growth not only the creation of the book, but also their growth as a staff member, I am also here as a resource to help them with any decisions made throughout the way! I initially joined yearbook as a means to help develop a piece of history while also hoping to improve my time management skills. However, over time, l've grown to develop more and new reasons to continue coming back to the yearbook committee. The people, for one, are a major factor of why I continue my work. The people in the committee each year always bring some significance in my life that help diversify my perspective as I grow alongside them. The product, or the yearbook, is another. As the development of the yearbook is something that I always hold special to my heart. Watching the many ideas of the different staff members come together in unison to create a book for the student body to point at and explore through continues to be a soft spot of mine each year as I continue to be ever-so proud of the team. Yearbook provides me with a space to interact and work with unique personalities and gives me an outlet to express a lot of creativity and growth as an overall human being. It's given me so many useful skills that I've been able to apply towards all aspects of my life. Through yearbook I've been able to make strong friendships and wonderful memories that have greatly impacted my own life for the better. Some hobbies/interests that I love to delve into includes experimenting with different styles of fashion and attempting to try my own version of different styles of what I have available to me (and ocasionally from my dad's wardrobe). There's also my deep love for music that I love exploring in my free time. Finding new artists to love and listen to brings great peace in my semi-chaotic life¨
