Prime drinks have taken PV by storm. The hydration drink from Youtube star Logan Paul and rapper KSI is sold out everywhere, but there has been some controversy with the companies’ massive marketing tactics and the questionable ingredients in their drinks.
Logan Paul is not exactly known for being the most down-to-earth celebrity. Based on his videos, anyone could see that he tends to do things in an excessive way. This is no different from his advertising for his new Prime drink. Logan made a video of his friend jumping off of a helicopter and yelling “Prime”, and this video has brought on a lot of controversies. Many people worry about whether or not Logan's advertising tactics are safe.

Talking to PV students showed differing opinions throughout this school. Students such as Hailey Lawson love Prime. She said “[Prime drinks] taste way better than Gatorade and give me the great energy I need throughout the day without drinking coffee or bangs, which can have harmful things in them.” Karthik Ganesh said, “Prime drinks are the perfect amount of sugar and energy for a hardworking man like me.” As we can see, many students love Prime for the energy they provide.
Students such as Sherry Tang, dislike these drinks. Sherry said “I don't even know how to pronounce half of the ingredients. And kids are, like, obsessed with this stuff.” She’s right. Prime has had some backlash for certain ingredients they include, such as acesulfame potassium, which has been tied to reducing gut health.
So there are definitely two sides to these drinks. Overall, neither side is in the wrong. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on these drinks and whether or not they choose to drink them. Although there is a bit of controversy with Logan Paul's advertising and certain ingredients, it's up to students to decide if they want to drink it or not. Just, maybe refrain from selling Prime out of lockers like some sort of cartel when the drinks sell out online.
