The school year is coming to an end, but the fun is just beginning with the school’s newest activity: Four Square Club! This club was recently founded by Anthony Harvey, an eighth grader at Pleasant Valley Junior High. Harvey started this club because he “wanted to make a club for kids who just want to play outside and have fun rather than a specific interest.”
“Four Square’s fun.” Club member Kilie Hillis couldn’t have said it better.
But how does this exciting game work? Alex Puthoff, another member, explained that “There are four squares, and one person in each square. Each person is only allowed one bounce, and the goal is trying to not make it land in your square. If it hits your square twice, then you’re out.” No pressure ;)
Don’t worry though; Puthoff also added, “There are different game strategies like snake eyes.” Using these can throw off other players and lead you right to the King’s Square.
The club is centered around Four Square, but they also do some other activities during breaks. Harvey later mentioned, “We mainly play four square, but we go to the Ninja Warrior Course too.”
“There are 7 people in the club right now, and we hope more kids will join,” said Lila Thompson, an avid member.
Sign-ups for this club are outside room 37! Hurry up though; the fun has already begun!
