The CMT Awards are widely looked forward to by millions of people in the United States. However, tons of people have no idea what they actually are. The CMT Awards are a fan-voted award show for country music videos and television performances. The awards ceremony is held every year in Nashville, Tennessee, and broadcasted live on the CMT channel. Tons of country artists are there such as Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood, and even more. Pleasant Valley Junior High Student, Hayden Scott, is among the many who enjoy watching the CMT Awards, “I honestly am not a huge country person, but I love watching the awards live on T.V. and seeing who wins what”. You don’t have to be a huge country fan in order to love the CMT awards. Just seeing the pure enjoyment of other artists being appreciated for their progress can uplift anyone's mood.

Hayden Scott also said, “I know many of my close friends really enjoy watching country music videos and listening to country music, so I am sure that they will be watching this”. If you enjoy country music or have a similar point of view as Scott, then the CMT Music Awards are for you.
