During the past few days, the temperature has increased dramatically. Obviously, spring is a certain time during the year, but many people consider it to be a certain temperature as well. So, has spring passed us by?
On Friday, May 6th, the high for the day was 59 degrees (Bettendorf Past Weather). Many people considered this “Spring” weather, and it had been at about that temperature since April 18th. Then, in the span of three days, on May 9th, the weather changed to over 87 degrees(Bettendorf Past Weather). That is a change of 28 degrees in three days! The sun was out, there were almost no clouds, and it felt like it was summer. So, how quickly did the spring weather change to summer weather?
The spring weather seems to have started on April 18th, and ended on May 9th. This is 40 days, compared to the three months that spring is. So the spring weather lasted much less time than spring itself, so Spring has passed much quicker than we have expected. Some people like spring better than summer, and some like summer better than spring. Depending on your stance, you may like, or dislike, this change. Maybe next year, spring weather lovers!
