Outdoor Summer Activities

- Go on a bike ride with friends- This is really fun to do, and it also has physical benefits. You could ride bikes to different places, and you can do it with anyone.

- Go swimming at a pool or lake- This also has physical benefits. Classmate Peyton Shields said, “I pretty much swim 24/7 in the summer. It’s super fun.” You probably already do this, but maybe you could try a new place this summer.

- Work out/ lift weights (you can do this year-round, too- This is a great activity for getting stronger and being with friends. Even if you can’t join a gym, you can still do easy, at-home workouts that you don’t even need weights for.

- Get a cold treat and eat outside- This is easily a summer favorite. Everybody likes ice cream, fro-yo, and other frozen treats. Ride your bike to somewhere you can get a treat and enjoy the time outside!

- Go off-roading or go on a hike- These are more adventurous activities, but they are some favorites for sure. You may get dirty, but it’s really fun to drive through a puddle or hike through a forest or caves. Give this a try next summer because you’ll probably have a lot of fun.
