Doernbecher Nike Collab 2022

Doernbecher is a children’s hospital in Oregon, near Nike headquarters. Once a year, Nike partners with them to do a fundraiser where kids in the hospital are selected to design their own shoes. This year’s collection has Blazers, Jordan 5 lows, LeBron 19s, Dunk lows, sb zoom, NikeCourt Zoom Vapor Cage 4, and Air Force 1 Fontankas. All of these are really cool looking, and all profits of these shoes will be donated to the hospital.

This fundraiser has been very successful. An article I read said, “Nike and the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital have teamed up for almost 2 decades and have raised over 30 million dollars”(Park). This shows just how big of an impact this has had, and how people can get these cool shoes, as well as help a hospital. Ellie Ziegelbein said, “It’s really cool how they are doing this to help a hospital and how the kids get to design them”.

All of these shoes are releasing on April 30th, but even if it’s too late when you read this, there’s always resale and the future fundraisers that they do every year. This fundraiser is done on the Nike SNKRS app, which is also where most Jordan’s, Dunks, and other limited shoe releases.
