Public Awareness about Endangered Animals

By: Conner Johnson

An increasing problem in the world is endangered animals going extinct. Animals are going extinct 1000 to 10,000 times faster than natural rates. 100,000 animals are extinct every year, that is about one species every five minutes. This is happening because of humans. Humans have invaded forests to build cities wiping out animal species homes, food sources, and eventually the animals themselves. Humans pollute the sky, land and water. All four what? Our own growth and evolution? At what cost is it that us humans figure out what we are doing to the world and have the means to stop it. Not only are animals becoming extinct but the same number that go extinct also become endangered, 100,000 species every year only to all become extinct the next year. And humans are responsible for 99% of those endangered animals. There are many businesses out there that are trying to stop their pollution and help the cause of keeping animals alive. Amazon alone plans to stop all carbon emissions in their business by 2040. Yet it's still not enough if every human did this too then by 2040 the world might get somewhat back to normal yet by that time 1,800,000 would have become extinct. So how do humans help this cause? Spread awareness about the topic and help end the extinction and endangered animal crisis.
