Luan Ewbank holds a Church Music Degree with a Vocal Principle from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She has been involved with singing and theatrical presentations since the age of three. She has been fortunate to sing in top college and community choirs, ensembles, and as a soloist touring both domestically and internationally. For the past twenty-nine years, she has worked with children, youth and adults in various aspects of private coaching and vocal instruction. She and her husband, Kevin, moved to McKinney in 1998 and have two children. She began teaching in the McKinney area in the fall of 1998 and for the past 16 years she has taught within the McKinney Independent School District in both the high school and middle school choral programs. She has been proud to have students successfully compete in Solo and Ensemble competitions, and she has had students succeed in the Texas All Region Choirs and eleven years of All State Choir members.
Noelle Chesney graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor of music degree and from The Ohio State University with master and doctoral degrees in vocal performance. She has served on the music faculties of Whitman College, East Tennessee State University, Texas Wesleyan University, Lycoming College and Collin College, and has performed with several operatic companies and orchestras including the Mid-Columbia Symphony, Dallas Lyric Opera, Columbus Light Opera, and the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed guest recitals and oratorios across the country, from New York to Santa Fe, and has performed musical theater roles locally with Lyric Stage, Uptown Players, Brick Road Theatre. Pfamily Arts, and McKinney Summer Musicals. She has been teaching at MHS for five years, and is currently the Artistic Director of Brick Road Theatre in Plano. Noelle lives in McKinney with her husband and two children.
Beverly Garms attended West Texas State University in Canyon, TX on a vocal scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis also in piano. She has been an active music educator for over thirty years, serving as an elementary music teacher, children’s choir director/coordinator in various churches, middle school choral director, accompanist, private piano and voice teacher and collegiate instructor. She has been associated with McKinney ISD for twenty one years and is currently beginning her thirteenth year as a private voice instructor at McKinney High School. Students under her tutelage consistently earn superior ratings in regional and state UIL solo contests and earn places in the prestigious Texas All Region Choirs. In addition to her teaching, she serves the North Texas area as a professional accompanist and joins her husband, Steve, providing music consulting, vocal/choral adjudication, clinics, voice workshops and accompaniment recordings through their company, Tunesmith Enterprises. Beverly is an active member of Texas Music Educator’s Association.
