Brainstorm EVERYTHING you know about your woman.
Name--do they have a nickname? do they go by another name? did they change their name?
Country they are from
What are they known for?
Dates that they lived
Who were their friends? Enemies?
Important events they were involved with?
Never heard of your revolutionary woman?
Go to wikipedia. Search for your woman and find the answer to these questions:
Does she go by another name?
What is she famous for?
This will help you generate KEYWORDS for the next part of your research.
Now that you have some of the basic information about your person, search for more detailed information about them, organizations, events, and people that YOUR person was a part of or affiliated with. This is a GREAT way to confirm the information that you found in your cursory searching. While wikipedia is not a reliable source, these ones are. Confirm your information in the databases.
