This year Sunnyslope FBLA is focusing on the overall wellness of the community and the impact COVID has had on health. We have four main elements that will be highlighted throughout the project including community health, mental health, nutritional health, and physical health.
MONTHLY FOCUSES
FEBRUARY FOCUS
This month was all about spreading kindness. We focused in on three areas that allowed for multiple growth. We gave a special gift to each of our chapter members, who then had to pay it forward and share a gift with a special teacher or staff member on campus. Going even further, our chapter worked together to spread kindness and love to a local community by donating food.
JANUARY FOCUS
January was New Beginnings Month for our chapter. We decided to dedicate our efforts in teaching our chapter about mental wellness, physical wellness, and nutritional wellness. Monthly challenges were given in all three areas.
DECEMBER FOCUS
December was a month of giving. We adopted a family and gave generously through gifts and gift card donations. We also held a toy drive that allowed us to give gifts to Sunnyslope Elementary School to help families during the holiday season.
NOVEMBER FOCUS
During our monthly meeting we created over 100 custom Veterans cards to hand out at Veteran Homes.
During the week of November 15-19 we donated all of our profits to buying turkeys to Donate to a local food bank.
OCTOBER FOCUS
This month's focus was collecting socks and blankets to give to those in need as the weather begins to get cooler. We were able to collect about 130 items this month to donate!
SEPTEMBER FOCUS
This month's focus was creating and handing out hygiene kits for those in need. Each member got to make and hand out their own Hygiene Kit!
