YuJa AutoPilot streamlines accessibility remediation by automatically suggesting and applying fixes to files in D2L.
Locate a course file with any "Major" (yellow triangle) issues identified from the Accessibility Report.
Select the Launch button and review the suggested fixes at the bottom of the Accessibility Report.
Select Apply Fixes to update the document with the recommended fixes.
Use the YuJa AutoPilot Guide for guided instructions and additional information when using the tool.
Start by reviewing the course shell and removing links to any content in the Content, Discussions, Assignments, or Quizzes tools that you do not need. YuJa Panorama will ignore any files in the D2L File Manager that are not linked through D2L tools.
Prioritize materials identified as “yellow documents” and use Panorama Autopilot to remediate those items, reviewing the results and making reasonable adjustments as needed. This time is a great opportunity to prioritize materials for upcoming lessons.
Some materials, identified as “red documents”, may be complex or require a broader institutional strategy. Guidance for addressing these materials is in development, and faculty are not expected to independently remediate content that exceeds reasonable individual effort.
