SY 23-24 has been shared, however it is always subject to change.
Good afternoon,
Well, we made it! 2022-23 school year is in the books!! We at Naples Middle High School are so very proud of all the achievements students made this year! Some of their many accomplishments include…
· 100% Graduation Rate
· Over $3,200,000 in college scholarships accepted
· 53 students from the class of 2023-24 attending 4 year colleges or universities
· 192 students who took 342 AP exams
· Award Winning Math Counts!
· Award winning NJROTC program
· Award winning musicians
· Strong CTE and culinary Arts programs
· Strong Sports Programs to include 2022-23 school year Championships in Football, Wrestling, Boys Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Girls Soccer
Next year, we are looking forward to bigger and better things to include our 1 to 1 laptop distribution program (information will go out to parents in July), revamped and increased wireless access throughout the building, and a brand-new turf football field! There are lots of construction projects that will be happening over the summer, however we will be open with staff in the building during recess. Summer hours are from 0800 – 1500. If you need to see or talk to someone specifically, please call ahead to ensure that they are available.
Remember to schedule your sports physicals now while appointments last. The hospital has the forms needed. Additionally, for our PCS families, we accept current physicals. They must be good for one year. Physicals from the states will also be accepts if you ate traveling home this summer.
DoDEA has implemented a new system wide dress code for the 2023-24 school year. Please take some time to review it and keep it in mind as you do your back-to-school shopping.
Many of you are also aware of my impending departure on the 30th of June. I wanted to take another moment to say thank you to everyone for all your support during my time here, and the well wishes from people as they come in. My family and I have truly enjoyed our time here in Naples and are looking forward to our next great adventure!
Please enjoy your summer break, rest up, and come ready to learn in the next school year. We look forward to seeing you soon! Have a great summer!!!!

The waiver removes the International Fee from the cost of sign-up so that our students pay the same as students taking the ACT stateside.
Please note: A new/different waiver must be used each time a student signs up to take an ACT exam and the unique serial number on the waiver has to be entered at the time of online payment to take the exam.

Returning Students Schedules and Information
Good afternoon Wildcats and Parents
The following procedure will be used beginning 26 AUG 2022 to request changes to a returning student schedule:
DROP/ADD Procedure for SY 2022-2023:
Students may request a Naples Middle High School Schedule Change Request Form from their Seminar class and/or the Counseling Office. The Naples Middle High School Schedule Change Request Form will be available on August 26, 2022 through the Counseling Office. In order for the request to be considered, the student must return the completed hard copy form to the Counseling Office, and it must include at least one parent's signature. Requests prior to 18 January and not following the established procedure will not be considered. Thank you for your support
All change requests will be reviewed by the grade-level School Counselor using the SOP outlined in Step 1 above. NOTE 1.B: Please understand that not all requests can be accommodated. Limits in the schedule, student number allocations in classrooms based on COVID mitigation requirements, DoDEA graduation requirements, and other limiting factors are all reasons why a schedule request change may not be possible.
NOTE 2: Only schedule request changes that meet DoDEA graduation requirements will be considered.
NOTE 3: Students indicating a teacher preference as the reason for a change will not be honored.
Students will be notified via student e-mail addresses and a copy of their student schedule will be attached once their request has been processed. NOTE 4: If the change is not possible then the counselor will email a negative response as well.
The ten-day drop/add period begins on August 26, 2022, and ends by September 2, 2022, at 1500. Requests received after 1500 on September 2, 2022 will not be considered and your student will remain in their selected courses until the end of Semester 1. No exceptions to this policy are authorized under DoDEA Administrative Guidelines.

Good afternoon Wildcat Nation!!
DCAS testing is complete! We are looking forward to seeing how well our students did.
If your rising senior or junior plans to take August 26th SAT, the registration deadline is July 28th. See information below for school code and website information.
Congratulations to our Baseball, Softball, Track and Field teams who came home with Division II Championships last week!
Recently there has been an uptick in the vandalism of student bathrooms. The vandalism of our facilities is cause for concern, as it takes away valuable resources which can be dedicated to other programs that impact the school. Students, if you are aware of someone who is intentionally vandalizing our school, please report it to an adult. Any student caught vandalizing school property will be given consequences in accordance with DoDEA’s Discipline policy. Parents, please speak to your children about the need to ensure that our schools’ facilities are kept in working order, as well as the need to report anything that they observe which may be criminal in nature.
STEM night on Wednesday was a huge success. Thank you to the SLO, DSO and all the community volunteers who stepped up to make it a great night for the whole community. We hope it will be even bigger next year!
We are so proud of our band and choir students who put on amazing performances this week in their final concerts!
For our seniors, please note next Wednesday, May 31st is mandatory graduation practice.
Final exams for students in grade 7-11 start on June 1st. Students should check their Schoology/Google Classroom Teacher pages or speak with their teachers if they have any questions.
Starting June 5th, we will be doing locker clean out. Students need to bring in a bag to transport their personal items home. Now is the time to be checking for those missing textbooks that might be under the bed. All textbooks, library books, musical instruments, athletic and ROTC uniforms (uniforms must be clean) must be returned by June 7th.
As always, thank you to the entire community for everything that you do for our students. It is an honor to serve as our school’s principal! Have a great WILDCAT WEEKEND and Fantastic WILDCAT WEEK!!!

The National Junior Honor Society chapter of Naples Middle High School is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of this prestigious national organization. Membership is open to those students who meet the required standards in five areas of evaluation: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Students are selected for membership by majority vote of a five-member principal-appointed faculty council, which bestows this honor upon qualified students on behalf of the faculty of our school each semester.
Students in grades 7-9 are eligible for membership. For the scholarship criterion, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Each spring those students who meet this criterion are invited to complete a Candidate Form that provides the faculty council with information regarding the candidate’s leadership and service.
To evaluate a candidate’s character, the faculty council uses two forms of input. First, school disciplinary records are reviewed. Second, members of the faculty are solicited for input regarding their professional reflections on a candidate’s service activities, character, and leadership.
Any solicited faculty input and all Candidate Forms are carefully reviewed by the faculty council to determine membership. A majority vote of the council is necessary for selection. Candidates are notified regarding selection or nonselection according to a predetermined schedule.
Following notification, a formal induction ceremony is held at the school to recognize all the newly selected members. Once inducted, new members are required to maintain the same level of performance (or better) in all four criteria that led to their selection.
Applications can be obtained from adviser Niki DeBoer in room 130 and will be accepted from March 13 – April 14, 2023. Applications will be reviewed from April 15 – 30 and an Induction Ceremony for new members will be held in May.
Do you have trouble focusing on your schoolwork at home? Are you feeling behind and overwhelmed? Then the Homework Club is for you! Students who have joined us claim that they’ve never been so productive! Join us every Tuesday in the library. Please see Dr. Johnson in Room 223 before noon tomorrow if you need a pass for the late activity bus.
