Focus Question: How do I multiply fractions?

This is our first year with this new curriculum, Reveal Math.

This tenth unit is all about understanding the different strategies of multiplying fractions. Within this unit, we will look at representing/modeling multiplication of fractions by whole numbers, multiplying fraction by whole numbers, representing/modeling multiplication of fractions by fractions, multiplying fractions by fractions, determine the area of rectangles, representing/modeling multiplication of mixed numbers, multiplying mixed numbers, multiplication of scaling, and solving word problems involving fractions.
