Student(s)/parent(s) visit Daily Lessons link/icon: this takes them to the Daily Lessons Spreadsheet. It lists each teacher and each of their courses and links to their lesson plans.
Student(s)/parent(s) find their teacher's name, and clicks on the desired course. This launches a Google Doc with up to date lesson plans.
If the teacher has scheduled synchronous lessons, students will attend using the Live Learning Link at the top of the teacher's lesson plan to attend the live video session.
Schoology is a social networking service and virtual learning environment for K-12 schools and higher education institutions that allows users to create, manage, and share academic content. Also known as a learning management system (LMS) or course management system (CMS), the cloud-based platform provides tools needed to manage an online classroom. Schoology can help teachers contact students with homework and more. They can post daily reminders or updates. They can message students, manage the assignment calendar and put new assignments.
G Suite is a suite of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products. It consists of a number of software solutions. The most relevant to our location are Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
There are currently no parent usernames/passwords.
Therefore, you use the student’s @student.dodea.edu GSuite account. Ask your student what their @student.dodea.edu login information is.
GradeSpeed is the software we use to assign earned letter grades/points. Teachers are required to input at least one grade per school week; we often provide more in order to showcase student progress, but one per week is the requirement.
Synchronous is a term we use that means online learning at a specific date and time with the teacher facilitator and/or classmates. We use Google Meet for synchronous learning. Teachers will be implementing a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.

MackinVIA, is a digital content management system, providing easy access to eBooks, read-alongs, audiobooks, databases, and videos. With just one login, users can view, utilize, and manage all of their digital resources.
