Interim Assessment Login Directions Grades 3-5
TestNav Tutorial - Optional but highly recommended. Students do not need to work through this tutorial but it would be a good idea to show and explain this to students on your SmartBoard.
Teacher Pearson Access Directions
This lesson will teach students how to get to the Test Nav login screen for the interim assessment.
Presentation Method: Narrated video to be displayed on the classroom Smartboard. Each student should already have either a Chromebook or Win 10 laptop on their desk.
Lesson Length: 2 minutes
When: Immediately before giving the interim test
Chromebook Orientation Grades 3-5
This lesson will teach students in grades 3-5 how to login and use the Chromebooks.
Presentation Method: This lesson will be taught in the classroom. Each student should have their own Chromebook to use during the lesson. This lesson is not narrated so the teacher will need to teach this one.
Lesson Length: 30-45 minutes
When: Required at the beginning of the year if you are using Chromebooks.
Google Apps Introduction - Grades 3-5
This lesson will give students an overview of the different tools available in their Google Apps.
Presentation Method: This is a narrated lesson can be taught in the classroom shown on the presentation workstation. Students DO NOT need to be at a computer for this lesson. Simply press "play" in the bottom left corner and the lesson will go. The teacher can pause and discuss as needed.
Lesson Length: 45 minutes
When: Required at the beginning of the school year, soon after the students first login to their Google Apps accounts.
This lesson will give students an overview of how to login and use EduTyping.
Presentation Method: This is a short video tutorial that can be shown to an entire class on a Smartboard or students can watch it individually on their own computer.
Lesson Length: 3 minutes (students can begin working in EduTyping after watching it)
When: Required at the beginning of the school year, soon after the students first login to their Google Apps accounts.
Gmail Introduction - Grades 3-5
This lesson will teach the students the basics about how to send an email using their school Gmail accounts.
Presentation Method: This is a narrated Prezi lesson should be taught in the computer lab with each student logged into their own computer. Simply press "play" in the bottom left corner and the lesson will go. The teacher can pause and discuss as needed.
Lesson Length: 30 minutes
When: Optional but very good information for the beginning of the year.
