Villa Maria is specially known for their long and special traditions, so here we present you how they work and why we love them.
Miss Luz María Benavente, Miss Mane Campos, Miss Ana Maria Vidal, and Miss Catalina Margozzini have all been teaching at the school for over 19 years. Their favorite school traditions include the 4th of July celebrations, parent shows, school week activities, and more. These traditions are cherished because they reflect the school's exclusivity and its unique identity. The teachers are committed to preserving these traditions as they emphasize the importance of sisterhood within our school community. Additionally, they express a desire to incorporate grandparents into these cherished traditions.

The installation ceremony is an assembly where the candidates that were chosen for charges such as : President,Secretary,Formation President,Culture & Activities delegate and Class climate delegate receive their pins that represent their power and duty to serve others and represent the vma values.
Religious ceremonies:
(first communion, consecration to Mary) 5
From the presentation to the temple to the confirmation, there are some ceremonies that the school stands out for after following some traditions every year following the path of faith. In elementary school, various celebrations are held every year representing multiple moments and important people in religious life. and always promoting helping others and the love of Jesus. Then in high school comes confirmation, the moment of opening the doors to God and Jesus, promising to lead a Christian life and spread the word of the Lord.
Parents shows:
Parent shows are dances that 1 st grade to 4 th grade prepare to their parents. With a lot of effort they sing and dance representing the school motto by serving with simplicity and joy. Also pre kinder and kinder girls do the Christmas show to have fun and joy but the same time they represent christian living, showing parents the love and care they deserve and creating family moments.
Interescolar:
The interescolar is a track and field competition of a lot of schools. The competition lasts for 3 days. It is during a weekend in the estadio nacional and people go to encourage the athletes and cheer them for success. Our school takes this very seriously - to win and have fun. Our school has won the interescolar 29 times. There is one for the first semester and other for the second semester.
VMA cup:
The VMA Cup is a cup organized and created by the school. There are different schools and there are different sports such as basketball, athletics, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, among others. This cup is held in the San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium, and it counts with more than 700 athletes. Due to Covid 19 we had to cancel it and increase security protocols. But now we returned to doing it and sometimes we invite the VMA school from Peru to compete and win.
Social Action :
In the school it is fundamental to help others especially those in need, so the school presents moments to go to diverse places to go help those in need from old people to kindergarten kids. We also like to support non profit organizations made by the school or from other people and raise money so people can enjoy the care and love the school gives to them.
Schoolweek:
During September we have school week, where we compete and have fun with teams and competitions and much more! Each level letter represents a color and the teams work throughout the whole year to earn points and win.
