Welcome to our first blog post, and thank you for taking the time to come to read it! This blog post introduces what they will be like for the remainder of the school year at NMS 10. In this blog post, we will begin the countdown to summer. Did you know that there are only 11 days left until summer vacation? I'm excited, and I know you are too! The summer solstice will occur this year on June 20. At the summer solstice, the days are longest and the nights are shortest, with day-length decreasing as the season progresses after the solstice. That means that the longest day of the year will occur then. Have you been noticing that the days are getting longer and longer? That's because sunset is happening at later times each day, and recently they have been after 8:00! On the Summer Solstice on June 20, sunset will occur at 8:33 PM! That is very late for the sun to set. Make sure to make the most of it by spending lots of time outside (or inside, if you want to stay home) riding a bike, jogging, or walking! Thank you for reading the blog post for today! Be sure to come back every day at around 3:00 to check for new ones, as one will be posted each day!
