Wow, can you believe that it is already June? It feels like just yesterday when we walked into NMS for the first time. June is a month with lots of interesting facts and history about it, considering that the month is halfway through the calendar year! Here are some quick facts about June. June is the 6th month of the year and has 30 days. The month is coined as National Rose Month, National Dairy Month, National Ice Tea Month, and National Candy Month. The month of June comes from the Roman, or Julian, calendar. June was initially named Iunius. The name either comes from the Roman goddess Juno, wife of Jupiter, or from the word "iuniores", the Latin word for "younger ones". In the early Roman calendar June only had 29 days.
