The CFHS Counseling Office receives scholarship opportunities for high schoolers. Looking for scholarships can be overwhelming, so we created a scholarship database for you! Not all of these scholarships may apply to you, but we really encourage looking through some of these. We also recommend that you use some sort of scholarship tracker. For example, you can make a copy of this Google Sheet and track application deadlines, amounts, and how many scholarships you applied for. ScholarApp is also a great tool to apply and track scholarships. Scholarships on this page are sorted by application deadlines found at the top of the Home page.
There are a lot scholarship opportunities online not listed here. A quick Google search can help you find scholarships, but make sure the site is credible. Here are three large scholarship platforms for you to explore! Also, don't be afraid to look for scholarships from the college you are attending, clubs you are in or joining, and you or your parent's place of work.

This is a widely used and trusted platform with a large database of over 3.7 million scholarships and grants, offering extensive filtering options by major, grade level, and interests.
This platform offers both a large database of external scholarships and its own exclusive scholarships, including no-essay options.
This website is updated frequently. While it's a good idea to start looking for scholarships now, keep in mind that some scholarships application won't come out until January
Get your materials (official transcript on Xello, letters of recommendation, essays, admission/acceptance letter, resume, etc.) completed early
High school seniors should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) because it is the single most important step to unlock thousands of dollars in financial aid for college or career school, including grants, scholarships, work-study programs, and federal loans. Even students who do not think they qualify for aid may be eligible for some form of assistance. For need-based scholarships, students may need their Student Aid Index (SAI) number.
