Taking Algebra 1 as an 8th grader will put you on track to take the SAT/ACT junior year, which covers topics from Algebra 1, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Algebra 2.

• If you cannot or didn't take Algebra 1, it may also be beneficial to begin studying for these tests earlier to give yourself time to familiarize yourself with new concepts.

Determine what classes you should take to put yourself in a good position for college.

• Determine if AP or Dual Credit interests you.

  • Before taking Dual Credit, you must register for the TSI.
