The Malaueg Tribe, also known as the Malaweg, is an indigenous group in the Philippines.

The Malaueg people share cultural similarities with their neighboring groups, the Ibanag and Itawit. They speak a dialect of Itawit. Their main livelihood comes from farming, with lowland rice and corn being their primary crops. They also cultivate tobacco as a cash crop.

The Malaueg Tribe is primarily located in the Cagayan Valley and Kalinga-Apayao provinces in the Philippines. More specifically, they are found in the town of Rizal.
The population of the Malaueg Tribe varies according to different sources. In 1990, the population was reported to be around 14,591. Other sources suggest a population of 21,500 and 28,000. Please note that these figures might have changed over time.
