For a Better Future.
Transit @ SMHS is a founding member of the California High School Transit Alliance!
We advocate for better transit options at our school, and to promote riding transit by encouraging students to commute via the bus or train, rather than a car.
Club meetings are every Friday at lunch in A006.
Join us and help build better transit for everyone!

Ride the train to school!
Our school is a walk or bike ride from Caltrain's San Mateo station (<---Click me). Riding Caltrain is fast, fun, and affordable for students, with $1 youth fares (or $2 day passes!) year-round. Plus, explore more of our region on the weekends, with 31 stations from San Francisco to San Mateo to San Jose and Gilroy.
Ride the bus to school!
SamTrans operates multiple routes across San Mateo county, connecting students from communities across San Mateo, Hillsborough, Foster City, and beyond. Other SamTrans routes head directly to San Francisco and other key transfer points, so it's easy to explore the Bay Area with their $1 youth fares!
All passengers MUST have a valid fare.
Youth Clipper Cards offer $1 Youth fares on SamTrans and Caltrain, and discounts across the Bay Area. Validate your Clipper card when boarding a bus, and make sure to tag on and off for Caltrain and BART.
Yes! We have a Discord server! Interested in joining, email us via the email button at the top of the page letting us know you want the link.
(MUST, be an SMHS student, or an incoming freshman currently in middle school.)
We decided to make it a little more complicated, for the sake of protecting the online privacy of our club members in the discord server, to make sure that only verified SMHS students can join!
