Hello! My name is Stephanie Lauricella, and I am excited to be joining Burton Elementary School as a sixth grade science and social studies teacher! This year marks my eighth year in education and my first year teaching sixth grade. I have had the opportunity to teach students from Pre-k through fifth grade, including the past four years as a fifth grade classroom teacher. I am originally from Long Island, New York, and my husband and I moved to Texas in 2017. Our family includes one cat (JinxyCat) and two dogs (Hank and Millie), who definitely keep us busy! In my free time, I enjoy traveling back to New York to visit family and coaching girls' lacrosse. I currently coach for one of the most competitive girls' travel lacrosse programs in Texas. I love sports! My favorite teams include the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, New York Giants, and the NBA CHAMPIONS the New York Knicks! I graduated from Mercy University with a degree in Psychology, where I was also fortunate to compete on both the soccer and lacrosse teams. My experience as an athlete and coach have taught me the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and a growth mindset. I look forward to bringing these values to the classroom. I am incredibly excited to join the Panther family and become part of such a wonderful school community. I look forward to getting to know my students, their families, and the entire Burton Elementary community, and I can't wait for an amazing year together!
