Ways to Raise Your Grade

1. Make corrections on your tests! For every correction you make, you can earn 1 point. Here's how:

  1. Start a new Google Doc

  2. Type your name at the top

  3. For each correction to be made --

        • Copy (Retype) the question / item you got wrong

        • Type YOUR INCORRECT answer

        • Type the correct answer (use a different color font)

  4. Turn it in to the same Google Classroom assignment as the Test.

2. Do the extra credit! Show you have prepared for the test by completing the study guide and turning it in to Google Classroom the DAY OF the test. Please do NOT bring in a printed study guide. Quizlets are a great way to prepare for the Vocabulary test.

Literature Quizzes

Our next quiz will be on ____ and will be given on ___.

Use your notes to prepare for the quiz. This presentation will help you.

Literature quizzes are typically given shortly after the introduction of a reading skill. They are based on the notes that are taken in class, and are used to assess students' knowledge on the topic being used in classwork. Quizzes will be in Google Forms.

Unlike Literature tests, quizzes cannot be corrected and returned for credit back.

Literature quizzes are ten items and are multiple choice or matching format. Students are given TEN MINUTES to complete the quiz.

Literature Test Study Guide

The first Literature TEST will be on PLOT & SETTING and CHARACTERIZATION.

It is SCHEDULED to be given on Friday, Oct 16!
