Week 2
Module 2 2025-26
Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your continued support. This week has been another very busy week within the academy and it has been a pleasure to visit lessons and see pupils engaged within their learning.
Our Year 11 and Year 13 pupils continued mock examinations and we look forward to supporting them within their learning as they continue to progress through this examination year.
On Tuesday our academy community came together for our two minute silence at 11am. Our cadets led a parade as well as welcoming in representatives from our local armed forces to join us. It was a hugely proud moment as we stood together in remembrance. It was also a pleasure to have children from Bligh Junior School join us.
On Thursday evening we held our Sixth Form open evening. It was a pleasure to see so many Year 11 and external pupils join us and explore the wide range of courses on offer. We look forward to providing expert guidance to our pupils as they prepare for their next steps come September 2026.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sending best wishes for a restful weekend,
Mr Jon Richardson
Principal

Strood Stars is our weekly celebration of students who go above and beyond at Leigh Academy Strood. Each week, awards are given for achievements such as the Principal’s Award, the Head of College Award, and the Highest Reward Points across different year groups.
These awards are a really important part of life at our academy. They recognise students who work hard, show great behaviour, and demonstrate our values of being respectful, resilient, inquisitive, and kind. By celebrating these successes, Strood Stars inspires everyone to aim high and be the very best version of themselves.
It is not just about individual recognition—it helps bring our colleges and whole school community together, creating a positive atmosphere where achievements are noticed and celebrated.
