Local Credit Recovery Programs

Saint Peter High School Summer School Programming

Eligible Students: Students that have failed a course are eligible to recover the course credit through summer school enrollment.

Attendance: Excellent attendance is required. Students are expected to make-up work for any and all absences. Students may not be eligible to earn credit if their attendance is inconsistent. Students that miss five consecutive days will be dropped from courses.

Learning Model: All summer courses are offered in person at Saint Peter High School. We do not offer online credit recovery courses at this time.

Communicating Absences: Absences must be called in to our attendance line at 934-5892. Press 1 to report an absence. Please state the students name, date of absence and reason for absence. If you know in advance there are days your child cannot attend, please submit the enclosed “Advance Notice of Absence” form with registration materials.

Earning Credit: Students must meet course requirements as established by the instructor before credit is awarded.

Lunch: Free lunch will be available for summer school students Monday-Thursday 11:30-12:00 pm.

Summer School Transportation: Transportation is not provided by the school district. MN River Valley Transit offers fee-based transportation within Saint Peter city limits. The phone number to arrange rides is 1-888-880-4696.

Registration: Please complete and submit the two page registration form to student services by May 13. Students that submit this registration form by May 13 will receive their schedules for summer school by May 20. Registration forms submitted after May 13 will be processed after May 20 and students will receive their schedules as they are created. Online Credit Recovery Options

Students occasionally ask about online credit recovery programs. This is not something offered through Saint Peter High School at this time, but students can enroll in a program outside the district. Families may utilize the Minnesota Department of Education list of Approved Online Learning Providers to search for an online program. Unfortunately, most of these online programs have fees while in-person local programs are free.
