  • Reminders for the Week of March 15, 2022

  • PLEASE CONDUCT A COVID SCREENING EACH MORNING BEFORE LEAVING YOUR HOUSE.

  • *Report cards will be in your child's H folder on Tuesday, March 15.

  • *Thursday is Saint Patrick's Day. Your child may wear a green shirt and socks with his/her regular uniform bottoms.

  • *We have Mass this Friday. Please be to school on time!

  • *Looking ahead: Monday, March 21 is Chick Fil-A day. If your child is not buying Chick Fil-A please send in a lunch.

  • Tuesday, March 22 we will be having a pizza lunch to celebrate a student's birthday. If your child does not eat pizza please send in a lunch for him/her.

  • *Re-registration is open for next school year. The re-registration fee instead of 150$. Let me know if you need assistance with this or need a new re-registration form.

  • *Children do need to know their personal information this school year. We will talk about it throughout the school year. If your child does not know his/her address and phone number then please continue to practice with him/her.

  • *Please be sure you are following the steps for the math homework properly for the problem solving section whenever math homework is given. A note went home explaining all of this so please refer to it if you do not remember.


  • REMINDERS......

  • *1st grade has gym every Friday this year. Please wear gym uniforms to school on Fridays.

  • *The children will need to be responsible for remembering if they are buying lunch or not. If you feel as if your child will have a hard time remembering then please send me an email or a note at the beginning of each week to let me know what specific days your child is purchasing lunch.

  • *Remember that all paper stories do count as a homework assignment when they come home. The child should be reading it to someone in the house. The adult that it was read to should be signing or initialing it on the front cover. It gets sent back to school for credit. At the end of each trimester it will count as an oral reading grade.

  • *READING PRACTICE and MATH PRACTICE…Please see the "useful links" tab to access these 2 sites. These are the websites that connect to our reading program and math book we use in class everyday. They provide great things on there to practice with at home!


  • PLEASE REMEMBER...

  • `To check your child’s H folder everyday.

  • `To empty the St. Peter communication folder every Wednesday (when it is sent home),and return it the next day. The items in the "Return To School" side are time sensitive.

  • `All homework should be completed neatly just as the class work is.

  • `Parents are encouraged to sign or initial all written homework each night.

  • `To empty out the test folder each Friday. Send the test folder back to school on Monday-emptied.



  • SUPPLY LIST AND SUMMER INFORMATION

Here are the supplies your child will need to bring on the 1st day of school which is Monday, August 30, 2021.

Grade 1: Supply List

*2 folders of your child's choice

*A pair of scissors (safety ones)

*Box of at least 24 sharpened pencils

*2 erasers

*10 glue sticks

*Liquid glue-1 bottle

*2 packs of 24 crayons

*Pencil case (No boxes please)

*Headphones (Put these in a plastic bag with your child's name on it.)

*2 rolls of paper towels

*2 boxes of tissues

*2 bottles of hand sanitizer

*3 Clorox wipes containers

*Clear contact paper (About 3 rolls...keep this item at home for book covering.)


Summer Projects: There is nothing mandatory this summer, but please read with your child as much as possible. Please also have your child practice writing his/her name, sight words, and small sentences. Focus on writing from top to bottom and touching the lines properly. Lastly, practice your math facts for addition facts up to the number 12.

*Interim reports will come home this week either in the Wednesday communication folder or the T folder on Friday. These are your copies to keep.

*Spring/Summer uniforms begin on Monday, April 12. Shorts for regular uniforms or gym uniforms are now okay. Thank you!

Reminders for the Week of March 9, 2020

*All book orders are due on Wednesday this week if purchasing books this month.

*There is a bake sale in the cafeteria on Thursday this week. Please send your child's money to school in an envelope or baggy with his/her name on it.

*Spring pictures will be taken on Friday this week. Please wear whatever outfit you want your child's picture taken in. Don't forget to send your picture form back to school.

*Do you still have clear contact paper? You will need to cover 2 more books before this school year is over.

*Before the Thanksgiving break a letter went home explaining the re-registration process for next school year. Please make note of these time sensitive dates so you can take advantage of the "early bird specials" for your re-registration fee. Please send your re-registration forms back to school as soon as possible with the fee attached. If you need any help or have questions please reach out to me.

Hello new first graders!

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd. Please note that this is a FULL DAY of school. (7:45-2:45).

Cafeteria service will begin on the first day. The lunch is hot dogs and mozzarella sticks. If your child is buying lunch on the first day please be sure to send money into school to put in your child's lunch account. Have their name and grade listed on the envelope.


Children will need to bring the following items on their first day…

*Book bag filled with all school supplies needed (leave the clear contact paper at home).

*Lunch box filled with a morning snack and a lunch if your child is not buying one.

*1 reading book log if your child completed one.

*1 field trip permission slip along with $5.


Please be sure that children’s names are somewhere on their book bag and lunch box as well as any school sweaters or gym sweatshirts.

Looking ahead: This year first grade will have gym every FRIDAY. Children should wear their gym uniforms every Friday this school year.

Also, back to school night is Thursday, September 5 at 5:30. At least one parent should attend this important night. You are to report directly to your child's classroom. When we are finished in the classroom we will all head over to Crowley Hall for an important meeting with Mr. Zitz starting at 6:15.

Summer Projects: There is nothing mandatory this summer, but please read with your child as much as possible. If your child chooses to complete the optional book log this summer, then he/she will be rewarded a prize on the first day of school. Please send the book log in on day 1 only for this prize to be rewarded.
