Ms. Wilke's classes

Week of May 27

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

~ 1 Peter 3:15b

Close of the 2018-19 Year

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work with you and your child this school year! My prayer for our kids this summer is for God to watch over them, protect them from danger in body and soul, send the Holy Spirit to guide them on His path, and open their eyes to opportunities He sets before them to show His love and care for others. I hope the summer weeks will bring your family a nice change of pace.

Volunteers Needed

Parent volunteers are needed on Friday to help supervise the Field Day. Please see Mrs. Hinders in the office to sign up.

Exchange Students!

Next school year, St. Peter will again participate in the South Korean Exchange Student Program. Our school will host students from South Korea for three weeks in the winter. During the summer break, please prayerfully consider opening your home to one or more students next year! By hosting, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about South Korea and help your own children become more culturally knowledgeable. Requirements for hosting include taking your South Korean student to church each week, feeding them two meals a day (school lunches are provided), giving them a bed to sleep in (they don’t need their own room), and providing for their general safety and welfare, much like you do your own child! There is a small stipend available for host families. If you cannot host, but would like to be involved with the program, we have a place for you! If you would like more information as you consider hosting/helping or are ready to sign up, please contact me.

Motivating Kids

Do you get frustrated when your children don’t seem to care about doing things the way you’d like them to be done? Linked below is an article from Focus on the Family about speaking to the heart of the child in your life, to help him or her build positive character traits.
