“Housing the Harvest from Jesus!”

Greetings St. Peter!

We are living in an historical time here at St. Peter Lutheran Church and School. The

last 12 months will go down in history as a new chapter for St. Peter. 12 months ago,

the school enrollment had fallen to 115 students of Kindergarten through Eighth Grade

for the year 2019-2020. The concern was that we would not be able to keep the doors

open for our entire school. The church families started to pray for a miracle. Then

COVID arrived. Due to the COVID pandemic, the incredible vision leadership of our

Principal, his tireless staff, the brilliance of our current preschool director, the

courageous teachers, the wonderful support of the School Board, amazingly hard-

working Church staff, and the St. Peter Church leadership (MMC) team up with the most

amazing school families to keep St. Peter opened for the entire time during this

pandemic. Our school attendance rose out of the ashes to 179. And then this upcoming

fall, we will double our school attendance from a year ago from 115 students to 245

students. Is God good? Yes, all the time!

God has answered our prayers. He wants St. Peter to be His thriving school in the

community of Lodi. Through the COVID pandemic and the upheaval in our country, God

has awakened this community. St. Peter is no longer the best keep secret in town.

Parents are not only seeking a safe and quality education but a Christ-centered

education. Matthew 9:36-38 is now St. Peter’s Vision Scripture in this new chapter.

Matthew 9:36-38 English Standard Version

36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed

and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The

harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord

of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

In this letter are the potential growth plans for our school. When we have growth in our

school, we have growth in our church. When we have growth in our church, we have

growth in God’s Kingdom! I ask you to join me in prayer and sharing your resources as

we seek God’s guidance in how to “House the Harvest” that He has given us! We look

forward to sharing with you in the months to come as we plan for more classrooms of

God’s children. Join Dale and I, as we continue to pray for the ongoing Miracle here at

St Peter!

In Christ, Pastor Tim Blau Principal Dale Munsch

School Theme Verse:

Psalm 46

1 God is our refuge and strength,

an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way

and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam

and the mountains quake with their surging.
