January 2, 2024 Trimester 2  Issue 3

Volunteering/

Chaperoning/Driving

Please remember that anyone volunteering in the classroom, chaperoning on a field trip, and/or driving on a field trip needs to have a volunteer application on file.  Drivers must also send in a copy of their driver's license and a current copy of their insurance card.

All students under 4'9" in height are required to use a booster seat on a school field trip.  Our policy is in place to protect not only our students, but our volunteer drivers as well.  You can view the Wash. State car seat laws here if you are interested: https://wacarseats.com/

Ski PE Day

Our school ski PE day for grades Kindergarten-8th will be next Friday, January 12.  If you haven't turned in your ski day form that was sent home with your student, please do so ASAP.  If you need another copy, you can print one here: https://www.stpaulslutheranschool.com/s/Skiing-2024.pdf

Also, if you have not yet registered your student online, that also needs to be completed ASAP.

Tax Statements & FACTS

You should be able to access any tax documentation you need through the FACTS system.  If you view your payment summary in your account, it should list all the payments you have made and what they were for.

For those of you that were here for the whole 2023 year, the school office can give you your statement from Gradelink prior to the switch to FACTS.

Snow Reminders

If Wenatchee School District closes for the day then St. Paul's will close as well.  If WSD is doing a late start, then we will start on time.  Please use your own judgement to get your student(s) to school safely.  If your student(s) will not be coming  or will be late, please let the school office know.

At recess students are not allowed in the snow without boots or allowed to play with the snow without snow pants, coat, etc.  This is to prevent them wanting to call home for dry clothes.  Please remember to have sneakers on PE days for safety.  We do recommend putting names in clothing so we can return lost items to the owner.  Teachers and staff try to help students with their belongings, but we are also teaching them responsibility.

Dress Code Updates

The school board made some updates to the school dress code at the December meeting.  The updates have been added to the dress code standards on the school website as well as the Google site.  You can use these tools to answer questions.
