St Paul's Singers
St Paul’s Singers play a key role in the musical life of the school. The choir helps to lead the singing in our collective worship each week and performs in our end of term church services, at our Christmas Celebration, Christmas Fair, Spring Concert, at the Festival of School Choirs in the Rose Theatre and the Summer Fair.
Our school choir is non-selective and is made up of children from Years 5 and 6. We meet twice a week, from 8:30-9:30am on Monday mornings at St Paul’s Church and on Wednesdays from 3:40- 4:40pm in the school hall.
We sing a range of styles of music including both Christian worship songs and secular songs. We sing songs from different countries, from musicals and other genres, sometimes in two or three parts and in rounds.
The aim of the choir is to help the children to develop a good clear singing voice, the ability to sing in parts, to develop confidence in performing and above all to have fun enjoying music!
